welcome to my e-portfolio

assalamualaikum n salam sejahtera to everyone...

WELCOME TO MY TEACHING E-PORTFOLIO

This teaching portfolio was created to fulfill the requirement in this subject:- SSI3013 Information and Communication Technology In Science. Creating this E-Portfolio is very useful and important for me as the basement to be a versatile coming teacher. Through this E-Portfolio, I am able to upload any assessment or assignment, consequently I can give a lot of useful input regarding how to create interactive teaching and learning and why it so important to be familiar with latest technology facility of educational field.

Hopefully, I will able to keep this e-portfolio as long as I can. Other than that, whatever information that I am going to post at my e-portfolio wall has an ability to help everyone who is seeking for the related information.

So enjoys yourself while reading my e-portfolio. :-)

modelling & simulation

Hi everybody!!!
After some consideration regarding a meaningful way of putting Model, and Simulation in an appropriate perspective I arrived at the following distinction.

Modelling

*                              It is the expression of one’s ideas by constructing one’s own model (Bliss et al.1992)
*      It give wonderful experience to student in order to explore the effects of changing data and relationship of physical systems, as a result, student will be have more understanding about scenario involved
*      Through our assignment that had been given by our lecturer, we are notice some differences between modelling and simulation: modelling is a simplified representation of the actual system, in our modelling, we choose model related to effects of temperature on the reaction rates .the unique features that we can see from this modelling are:

                        i.        Immediate graphic presentation of Maxwell Boltzmann
ii.        The movement and collision rate between molecules once some heat was supplied to the system.
iii.        Manipulative variables have an ability to attract students to try it by their own.

Simulation

-       First time I was exposed to this word, I get some blur on how simulation and modeling are different? And mostly is it suitable to use it in every time of teaching and learning process?

*      It generally refers to a computerized version of the model which is run over time to study the implications of the defined interactions.
*      Or we also can simplified its meaning as the exploration of existing models (Bliss et al.1992)
*      By providing a concrete visual experience of the abstract, investigate life processes which are far too lengthy, study complex interactions, difficult to understand due to unable to see by our naked eyes and costly experiments.

*      Modeling and Simulation is a discipline for developing a level of understanding of the interaction of the parts of a system, and of the system as a whole. The level of understanding which may be developed via this discipline is seldom achievable via any other discipline.

Through both modelling and simulation: students will be actively learned what actually is all picture/ video about regarding to the topic on that day, it is also lets us to bring abstract view to concrete views such as in our simulation video, we bring ourselves to view  on how actually molecules react and achieve their activation energy. Besides that, at the end of simulation, hopefully this simulation video has potential to develop cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills of student
