Hi everyone.. We meet again.

In the class ICT, one of the learning objective that all student should have ability to use and apply it in real situation is about DATA LOGGER.

 we are introduced to data logger by our instructor: miss suzi and more detail about it was explained by our lecturer: Prof Dr Sopia Bt Md Yasin

What is data logger all about?

      It is also known as data recorder:- is an electronic device that records data over time. Then, the readings are transferred to the computer.

      They are based on digital processor. Generally they are small, battery powered, portable, and equipped with a microprocessor, internal memory for data storage, and sensors.

What are advantages use it?

ü  Data loggers vary between general purpose types for a range of measurement applications to very specific devices for measuring in one environment or application type only

ü  Has an ability to automatically collect data on a 24-hour

ü  New innovative experiment possible

ü  Greater experience in practical work- the insulating properties of material

ü  Better understanding on how it works.

However!!!

It is also having a few of disadvantages

 -The cost for each type of data logger and its accessory is quite expensive.

- Loss of conventional methods of data collection
- Reducing practice of graphing and drawing skill

Actually using data logger give more advantages to me as a science student. As we know use the sensor like temperature, pH, humidity, DOB and other can helps us do the experiment more accurately.
